Taalam Acey

TAALAM ACEY, born in Newark, NJ and a child of the Newark Uprising, has recorded more than sixteen CDs and authored four books, including Excellent Exposure and Troubled Soul Refinery.. was the curator of the 2011 Sacred Circle Cafe at the NJ Performing Arts Center. Taalam was honored to be a guest of Congresswoman Maxine Waters for the Congressional Black Caucus' 2007 & 2008 "Young Gifted and Black" panels. He has performed and spoken at schools and venues throughout the world including the Essence Music Festival and his work has been featured in several films.  Taalam currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland.
