Cindy King is the author of Zoonotic (Tinderbox Editions), Lesser Birds of Paradise (Southeastern Louisiana University Press), and Easy Street (Dancing Girl Press). Her poems appear in The Threepenny Review, The Sun, Callaloo, North American Review, Prairie Schooner, Antioch Review, American Literary Review, TriQuarterly, Gettysburg Review, River Styx, Cincinnati Review and elsewhere. Her poetry has also been chosen by former Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith to appear on NPR's The Slowdown. Cindy has received fellowships and scholarships from the Sewanee Writers' Workshop, the Fine Arts Work Center, Colgate University and other institutions. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she currently lives in Utah, where she is an associate professor of creative writing at Utah Tech University and serves as editor of The Southern Quill and Route 7 Review. Cindy also enjoys working as an editorial associate at Seneca Review and screening scripts for the Blank Theatre in Hollywood, California.
