Festival 2018: Tickets FAQ

Are tickets are on sale now?

Yes! Single day tickets, four day passes and weekend passes are on sale now.

Are there assigned seats, or is everything general admission?

All tickets are general admission, and seating is first come first served.

If you are a Festival Coordinator for a high school student group, please note that your student group(s) will receive a personalized schedule for High School Student Day (you will be assigned a location for each session, but not assigned seats).

What does a Festival ticket give me access to?

The real question is, what doesn't it?

Your Festival ticket gives you access to:

  • Poetry readings, performances, panel discussions, Q&As and musical collaborations at any of the 9 locations where we have Festival stages

  • Open mic readings where you can share your own work if you wish to

  • Our huge pop-up poetry bookstore where you can browse and buy titles from all of the Festival Poets

  • Book signings with Festival Poets

I want to buy a discounted NJ Transit ticket. How do I do that?

Discounted $10.50 NJ Transit round trip tickets are available here. The deadline for purchasing discounted NJ Transit tickets is October 5, 2018. A few other important things to note:

  • These tickets are date specific, so you need to purchase your ticket(s) for whatever day(s) you will be taking the train.

  • When you purchase the tickets, you will be prompted to "Select your section," either "Best Available" or "General Admission Full Price." Select either and then click "find seats" in the bottom right corner.
  • Now you will need to choose a seat. The tickets are not really seat specific; this step is simply built into the ticketing system. Select a seat to add to cart (it doesn't matter which one), and then you can check out.
  • If you do not already have an account with NJPAC, you will need to create one in order to complete your purchase.
