Poetry Festival Food Goes Fresh

The 2008 Dodge Poetry Festival offered an unprecedented variety of food choices for Festival-goers which included organic, vegetarian and vegan options, as well as a general commitment to eco-friendly paper products, increased recycling, locally-sourced food where possible, fair-trade coffee, and a free water station. We hope you enjoyed our new and returning food vendors including:

  • Cosmic Catering - organic and homemade wraps and sandwiches, homemade veggie burgers, organic salads, and herbal teas
  • Nomad Pizza - freshly made brick oven pizza (these will be limited quantity - get them while they last!)
  • Nyota’s Ting -Jamaican-inspired vegetarian and vegan curries, beans, rice, wraps, vegetarian sandwiches, and bbq
  • Greene’s Beans - fair-trade coffee, a special Poetry Festival blend, muffins, cookies and other snacks
  • South Silk Road teas - high quality hot and iced teas, herbals and tisanes
  • J & J Concessions - Japanese teriyaki BBQ sandwiches, chicken teriyaki, fresh fruit shakes, lemonade, and tea
  • Law Dogs - fish and chips, shrimp, foot long hot dogs, fresh cut fries, and sweet potato fries
  • Bayside West Lemonade - hand-made, fresh lemonade
  • Mimmo’s - specialty Italian sandwiches and subs, salads, and baked goods
  • Charlie’s Pizza - pizza, veggie burgers, hamburgers and cheeseburgers, fries, funnel cake, and other fried desserts
